Due to the impending retirement of the existing post holder, Kirkconnel and Kelloholm Development Trust are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, highly motivated Development Officer to support them in an exciting phase of their development and to help them progress the ambitious plans to regenerate the area, as set out in the Place Plan for Kirkconnel Parish.
Based in KKDT Office, Hillview, Kelloholm, key priorities for the Development Trust include regeneration of the community, tackling poverty, including child poverty, tackling climate change and taking a Place Based/Community Led Approach to all activity.
A knowledge and understanding of the issues facing disadvantaged communities, experience in partnership working, a good knowledge of national and regional policies, strategies and priorities and an ability to, and experience of securing funding are essential requirements of this post, as is a full driving licence and use of a reliable vehicle.
