For the last two weeks, Callum Taylor has been making his way from Sanquhar to John O’Groats to raise money for Dumfries Stroke Rehab Ward. He finally made it to his journeys end point on Sunday morning before before being welcomed home later that day by his family and friends.
The walk was all in aid of a cause close to Callum and his family’s heart as his mum, Jacky, has received vital rehabilitation treatment at the Stroke Rehab Ward following multiple brain bleeds and strokes. So far, Callum has raised over £12,000 for Ward D7 through his GoFundMe and will also be hosting a Race Night at the Auld Pub on May 25th to round off the fundraising. His hard work will benefit other families going through a similar experience and has been an inspiration to our community.
